Digital Technology Partnership

Digital Server Technology Partnership

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Soutron an established supplier over 25 years of library automation systems.

Soutron LtdSoutron has recently developed a new eResources platform with unique features for managing eBooks and electronic documents. This type of technology offers more and more options for librarians and control for publishers who wish to present their content to a wider audience. The availability of ePUB3 as an emerging standard and its ability to include interactive content together with HTML 5 and new web browser programming tools all combine to allow a new and very exciting addition to Soutron’s solutions.

LibStor will be amongst the first to use this  advanced technology at the heart of our distribution platform for the licencing eBooks.

The way the market is moving demands close attention to how users interact with technology. We expect that the demand will increase for mobile use of content. The news according to analyst firm IDC predicts that by 2017 87 per cent of all connected devices will be tablets and smartphones. The virtual library idea has truly come of age and with it a host of new service possibilities.
